ADAPT-FIN Research

Research

From climate-risk evidence to practical, investment-ready adaptation solutions.

A shared framework for action

The ADAPT-FIN Scientific Framework connects several elements that are often addressed separately. Together, they help examine not only whether an adaptation solution works, but also how its value can be demonstrated, who benefits from it, what prevents investment and which mechanisms could make its implementation more feasible.

  1. Evidence about current and future climate risks
  2. Estimates of the economic cost of insufficient adaptation
  3. Financial and socio-economic evaluation of adaptation measures
  4. Behavioural and institutional factors affecting investment decisions
  5. Financial and non-financial incentives
  6. Engagement with businesses, investors and other private-sector actors
  7. Practical pathways towards investment readiness
